Role Description The Finance Manager at Ottotree Hotels & Resorts is a full-time, on-site role based in Johor Bahru. This role oversees daily financial operations for the hotel and integrated leisure facilities, including managing accounting processes, reviewing financial statements, and monitoring cash flow. The Finance Manager prepares budgets and forecasts, analyzes variances, and provides insights to support strategic decision-making and cost control. This position ensures compliance with relevant financial regulations, internal policies, and reporting standards, and coordinates with external auditors, banks, and governmental bodies as needed. The role also collaborates with operations, procurement, and sales teams to optimize financial performance, maintain accurate records, and implement process improvements that support sustainable growth.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong financial management and planning skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Candidates should possess skills in financial reporting and analysis, including preparation of management reports, variance analysis, and performance tracking.
• Candidates should possess solid accounting knowledge, including general ledger management, reconciliations, and familiarity with relevant accounting standards.
• Candidates should possess skills in financial controls and compliance, including risk management, internal controls, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Candidates should possess proficiency with financial software and spreadsheets, including advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting or ERP systems.
• Candidates should possess strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
• Relevant experience in hospitality, hotels, or leisure industries is beneficial, with exposure to multi-outlet operations considered an advantage.
• A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field is required; professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) are an added advantage.
• Candidates should possess strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to work on-site in Johor Bahru on a full-time basis.
