The Opportunity
We are looking for a practical, hands-on Regional Business Process Automation Specialist to join us on a 12-month fixed-term contract and help improve the way operational work gets done across the region.
In this role, you will work with teams across different markets to understand day-to-day processes, identify bottlenecks, and build practical automation using Python, SQL, advanced Excel, and selected AI tools where they add value.
The goal is to build practical and reliable solutions that reduce manual work and improve business processes. The solutions should also be easy for the Data and Tech teams to maintain and improve over time.
Job Responsibilities
- Process & Workflow Automation: Review repetitive operational tasks such as file consolidation, manual updates, and data entry, then build automation that reduces unnecessary effort across regional markets.
- Data Engineering & Transformation: Help move key processes away from manually maintained spreadsheets by creating cleaner, more structured data sources. Use Python, Power Query, and related tools to extract, clean, and validate data.
- Reporting & BI Automation: Support recurring reporting by creating standard datasets and repeatable reporting processes that Data Analysts and business users can rely on.
- AI & Agentic Workflows: Explore practical use cases for AI and LLM-based tools, especially for tasks such as classification, document handling, and process support, where they add clear value.
- Documentation & Handover: Document processes, data sources, and business logic clearly so that future Data Analysts or Developers can maintain and improve the work.
- Others: Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management in support of business operations and objectives.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience in business process automation, data analytics, data engineering, or a similar role.
- Good hands-on experience using Python, especially Pandas and scripting, to automate data-related tasks.
- Strong Excel skills, particularly Power Query and more advanced formulas.
- Working knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and basic data transformation concepts.
- Interest in using LLMs, AI agents, or similar tools to improve real business processes.
- Able to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, cloud platforms, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other relational databases.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and connecting data from different business systems.
- Experience with workflow automation, RPA tools, or scheduling Python scripts.
- Experience working with SharePoint, OneDrive, or similar file and data platforms.
- Basic web development knowledge, such as JavaScript or PHP
Key Success Measures
Success in this role will be measured by the practical improvements delivered to the business. Examples include:
- Less time spent on repetitive manual work and Excel consolidation.
- More accurate and consistent regional data and reporting.
- Better use of structured data sources instead of relying mainly on spreadsheets.
- At least one practical AI or automation use case implemented where it provides clear business value.
