We are seeking a qualified and experienced Lecturer in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) to join our academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering quality teaching and contributing to the effective management, development, and continuous improvement of the programme.
Candidates with prior experience as a Head of Programme (HOP), Programme Leader, Programme Coordinator, or in a similar academic leadership role are highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures, tutorials, and other teaching and learning activities in TESL and related subject areas.
- Develop and update course materials, assessments, examination papers, and learning resources in accordance with programme requirements.
- Assess student performance and provide timely academic feedback, guidance, and support.
- Supervise and mentor students in their academic and professional development.
- Contribute to curriculum development, programme review, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in programme accreditation, quality assurance, and compliance activities.
- Support academic administration, including programme documentation, student matters, and academic reporting.
- Participate in faculty meetings, committees, institutional activities, and other academic initiatives.
- Contribute to research, scholarly activities, professional development, and industry or community engagement, where applicable.
- Support the planning, coordination, and effective delivery of the TESL programme.
Requirements
- Possess at least a Master’s Degree in TESL, TESOL, Applied Linguistics, English Language Education, English Studies, or a related field from a recognised institution.
- Relevant teaching experience at tertiary/higher education level.
- Strong knowledge of TESL pedagogy, curriculum development, assessment, and contemporary teaching and learning practices.
- Experience in programme accreditation, curriculum review, and academic quality assurance will be an added advantage.
- Prior experience as a Head of Programme (HOP), Programme Leader, Programme Coordinator, or other academic leadership position is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage or coordinate academic programmes, lecturers, teaching schedules, student performance, and programme-related activities.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, organisational, and leadership skills.
- Able to work collaboratively with academic and administrative teams and contribute to the overall development of the programme and institution.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
