Job description:
We're looking for a curious, hands-on AI Solutions Engineer to join our team and help build the AI agents and automations that make our colleagues' jobs easier. In this role, you'll design, build, and roll out practical AI agents and Copilot-based solutions that remove repetitive work and unlock productivity across the business. This is a junior position. We're not looking for someone who's already done this before — we're looking for someone with real curiosity about AI tools, a willingness to experiment and learn fast, and the tenacity to push through the inevitable dead ends until something actually works. If you like taking apart a problem, poking at new tools, and shipping something useful even when the instructions don't exist yet, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Build and deploy AI agents and automations (using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Automate, and related Microsoft 365 tools) that help teams work faster and smarter.
- Partner with different teams to understand their workflows, spot repetitive or time consuming tasks, and turn them into working AI-assisted solutions.
- Write and maintain scripts (Python, PowerShell, or similar) to glue together tools, automate tasks, and support agent workflows.
- Prototype quickly, test with real users, gather feedback, and iterate — comfortable shipping a rough version 1 and improving it.
- Stay current with new features across the Microsoft 365 and Copilot ecosystem, and proactively suggest how they could be applied internally.
- Document how agents and solutions work so they're easy for others to understand, use, and maintain.
- Troubleshoot issues with deployed agents and automations, digging in to figure out root causes rather than just symptoms.
- Support and train colleagues on how to get the most out of new AI tools and agents.
Requirements and skills
- Working proficiency with Microsoft products (Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint) and a strong interest in Microsoft Copilot / Copilot Studio.
- Familiarity with at least one standard scripting language (e.g., Python, PowerShell, JavaScript) and a willingness to deepen that skill.
- Exposure to Power Automate, Power Apps, or other low-code/no-code automation tools.
- Personal projects involving AI agents, chatbots, or LLM APIs (even small or unfinished ones — we'd love to hear about them).
- Experience with APIs, JSON, or basic data handling.
Others
- Working hours from Monday through Friday 8:30am to 6:00pm
- Other responsibilities as and when required by the manager.
- 1 year contract, renewable
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Johor Bahru
