Oracle Hiring! Full Time Datacenter Technician in Johor - Ricebowl

We are looking for a Data Center Technician to join our team in Johor Bahru.

This is a fully onsite, hands-on role. You will work with servers, network equipment, cabling and other hardware in our data center supporting Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

Previous data center experience is welcome, but it is not required. We are also interested in candidates with experience in networking, IT infrastructure, hardware support or other technical roles who would like to learn and develop in a data center environment.

What will you do?

• Install, move and replace servers and other IT equipment.
• Perform rack and stack activities.
• Connect and manage fiber and copper cabling.
• Troubleshoot hardware and connectivity issues.
• Replace faulty hardware components.
• Support new hardware installations and deployments.
• Perform basic checks and maintenance of data center equipment.
• Keep records of completed work, equipment and spare parts.
• Follow data center procedures and safety requirements.
• Work closely with other technicians and engineers to resolve technical issues.

What are we looking for?

• Experience in IT hardware, networking, infrastructure support, technical support or data center operations.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware and networking.
• Comfortable working with physical IT equipment and performing hands-on technical work.
• Experience with servers, cabling, network equipment or hardware troubleshooting is an advantage.
• Basic Linux knowledge is an advantage.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop your technical skills.
• Able to work fully onsite in Johor Bahru.
• Able to work in a 24/7 shift rotation, including nights, weekends and public holidays.

Interview process

The interview process has three steps and all interviews are held online via Zoom:

1. Screening call – an initial conversation about your experience, motivation and the role with talent advisor.
2. Technical interview – a 1:1 interview with one of our engineers to discuss your technical knowledge and experience.
3. Hiring Manager interview – a final conversation with the manager about the role and the team.
