ePub Developer

Pan Asia Publications Sdn Bhd is looking for an experienced ePub Developer to join our digital publishing team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop reflowable EPUB 3 eBooks with interactive elements
• Embed audio, video, animations, interactive quizzes, buttons and multimedia content
• Ensure content is responsive and works across different screen sizes and platforms
• Troubleshoot HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, SVG and multimedia issues
• Validate and test EPUB files for functionality, compatibility and quality
• Work closely with editorial and design teams to deliver high-quality digital publications

Requirements:

• 3 - 5 years of hands-on EPUB development experience
• Strong experience with reflowable EPUB 3
• Proficient in HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript
• Experience creating interactive and multimedia EPUBs
• Good understanding of responsive layouts and cross-platform compatibility
• Experience with EPUB validation tools and debugging
• Knowledge of XML, SVG and EPUB accessibility/WCAG is an advantage
• Familiarity with Adobe InDesign, Sigil, Calibre or similar tools
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
