Job Description

Responsibilities

VDO Management (Research) is a position within Value Driven Outcomes (VDO) office responsible for managing Research projects (50%) and Operational Analytical work (50%).


Research projects

Successful candidate will work with healthcare professional to formulate research ideas, analyse and interpret healthcare data using statistical tools and machine learning and present insights through conference and journal publications.

 

Operational work

Successful candidate will work on assigned VDO office work (e.g. descriptive analytics, quality improvement project, etc) and any administrative work related to research or operational work.


Key Responsibilities :

  • Work closely with stakeholders to identify problems and formulate research strategy or quality improvement project
  • Assess and enhance data sources and data-gathering methods
  • Build algorithms and design experiments to merge, manage and interrogate data
  • Use machine learning and statistical techniques to solve problems
  • Communicate complex data insights clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Represent the organisation at external events and conferences
  • Build and maintain client relationships.

 

Requirements:

  • PhD and/or Master’s degree in Statistic/Mathematic/Data Science or relevant discipline
  • Experience in medical research is a plus.
  • Expertise in health services research (HSR) and applied statistics, with experience in study design, data analysis, and outcome evaluation.
  • Strong background in developing and implementing data-driven solutions for healthcare improvement, with proficiency in AI methodologies (e.g., machine learning, predictive modelling) where applicable.
  • Proven ability to independently manage and execute projects across diverse health services domains, from conceptualization through to implementation, including data transformation, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Proficiency in programming languages (SQL and Python/R) with experience in using analytical frameworks to solve healthcare-related problems.
  • Experienced in Tableau and Microsoft applications.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and multitasking skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
