Work Location: Mount Elizabeth Hospital or Gleneagles Hospital
Responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Assist in preparation, arrangement and serving food in the area of patient dietary requirements, cafeteria and other catering related services.
- Maintain par-stock level for both dry and raw items.
- Ensure proper standards/tools are used for food portioning and appropriate food preparation techniques.
- Attend scheduled training and development program organized by department.
- Work closely with colleagues and supervisors.
- Observe established guidelines on hygiene, safety and sanitation during course of work.
- Serve food at staff cafeteria.
- Assist in preparing dietary cart for delivery of meals to respective wards.
- Remove garbage from outlet/area/section and dispose regularly, ensure cleanliness of equipment and outlet/area/section at all times.
- Report any problem in his/her outlet/area/section concerning hygiene matters to Senior Steward and Sous Chef.
- Report any problem in his/her outlet/area/section concerning operational/kitchen equipment to Chef De Partie.
- Perform any other job as assigned.
Requirements:
- All education levels
- Completed all courses conducted by NEA or basic hygiene courses on sanitation and hygiene related or food handling issues.
- Preferably with some service experiences from hotel, restaurant or institutional establishment.
- Able to work shifts
Working hours:
AM PM rotational shifts, 42 hours max, 6 day work week.
