Responsibilities

Student Care Teacher – Special Education

Junior Special Resources (JSR Education Pte. Ltd.) is looking for a caring, responsible and passionate Student Care Teacher to join our team in supporting children with additional learning and developmental needs.

Position

Student Care Teacher / Learning Support Teacher

Working Hours

Monday – Friday
1:00 PM – 7:00 PM
6 hours per day

Salary

$1,600 – $2,300 per month, depending on qualifications and experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support children during student care hours.
  • Assist students with academic work, English and Mathematics.
  • Conduct structured learning and enrichment activities.
  • Support children with different learning and developmental needs.
  • Implement individual learning goals and activities according to each child's needs.
  • Encourage appropriate communication, social skills and independence.
  • Provide guidance with routines, transitions and classroom behaviour.
  • Prepare simple worksheets, activities and learning materials.
  • Maintain a safe, positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Communicate with parents regarding children's daily progress when required.
  • Maintain basic records of students' participation and progress.
  • Work closely with the centre team to support students' overall development.

Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in Early Childhood, Education, Special Education, Psychology or related fields preferred.
  • Experience working with children is an advantage.
  • Experience with children with autism, developmental delays or learning difficulties will be an added advantage.
  • Patient, caring and responsible.
  • Good communication and classroom management skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willing to learn and receive training in special education strategies.
