Role Description The General Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Klang, responsible for leading the overall operations and performance of Speedex Express Logistics (M) Sdn. Bhd. This role oversees daily logistics and freight activities, ensures service quality, and maintains high operational standards aligned with the company’s vision and mission. The General Manager will manage budgets, resources, and KPIs, while driving continuous improvement in processes, systems, and customer experience. Key responsibilities include leading and developing teams, coordinating with clients and partners, resolving operational issues, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. The role also involves strategic planning, business development support, and collaboration with senior leadership to achieve growth targets and strengthen the company’s market position.

Qualifications

• Leadership and people management skills, including team development, performance management, and the ability to motivate and guide diverse teams.
• Strong operations and logistics management capabilities, with experience in freight, supply chain, or related transport and distribution environments.
• Strategic planning and business management skills, including budgeting, KPI tracking, and data-driven decision making.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work closely with customers, partners, and internal departments.
• Problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset, with experience implementing process enhancements and operational discipline.
• Relevant academic background, such as a degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proficiency in using business and logistics systems, reporting tools, and basic office software; familiarity with scalable operational systems is an advantage.
• Prior experience in a senior management role within logistics, freight forwarding, or similar industries in Southeast Asia is highly beneficial.
