Job Description

Responsibilities

To work out cost estimation or budgetary cost for major mixed-use projects, including M&E services and related works.

To attend to all relevant contracts administration and documentation for the project, including M&E contracts and subcontract packages.

To liaise with Client / Consultants / Main Contractors / M&E Contractors and Subcontractors on all project matters and manage expectations.

To lead a team of quantity surveyors, manage, mentor and supervise their work, including M&E cost management and contract administration.

To take off and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ), including M&E BOQ, contract documents and administer the tendering process.

To assess and identify Variation Order (VO) work for M&E and other subcontract packages and be responsible for cost control.

To process monthly progress claims and final claims for M&E packages, as well as other subcontract packages, according to SOP requirements.

To maintain relevant documentation in an orderly and proper manner and finalise all accounts, including M&E final accounts.

To review and assess M&E cost estimates, tender submissions, progress claims and variation claims where required.

To coordinate with M&E consultants and project teams to ensure that M&E design changes and technical requirements are properly reflected in the project costs.

A minimum of 6–8 years hands-on experience with consultancy practice, preferably with relevant M&E QS / cost consultancy experience.

Recognised Degree for Quantity Surveying (QS) Discipline. Candidates with an M&E Engineering background with relevant QS experience will also be considered.

Professional Qualification with SISV, AIQS, RICS or equivalent.

Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, Cost & Measurement software. Experience in M&E quantity take-off and measurement will be an advantage.

Analytical, resourceful, independent, responsible and able to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment.

Candidates who have a mix of M&E, civils, building services and fitting-out experience on mixed-use developments are preferred.

Good interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.

Candidates with Mechanical or Electrical experience, preferably with exposure to both M&E disciplines, are encouraged to apply.
