Material Planner

Broad Function:

• Planning materials for individual projects so as to support manufacturing and project dept in meeting committed delivery schedule of equipment / goods to customer.
• Ensuring that there are sufficient materials available in store to support production so that manufacturing processes will not be delayed or affected.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Manage MRP to plan and control materials
• Materials planning for individual projects upon receipt of Work Order.
• Generate material purchase requisition to respective buyer upon receipt of Work Order
• Follow up delivery schedule of Incoming materials and overdue materials
• Liaise with store to issue Internal Kit to Manufacturing and buyer to issue External Kit to Supplier
• Constantly review the Master Delivery Schedule (MDS) and ensure that there are no
• Analyze the Purchase List and Customer Sales, ensure it meet the delivery and quantity requirement
• Generating Master spreadsheets, purchase lists, kiting lists
• Daily review with buyer and Engrg for the Mech Fabrication / Standard material status
• Follow up with Quality department on incoming material quality status.
• Investigating stock discrepancies in store and WIP
• Inventory control and conduct stock take
• Drives and minimize excess and obsolescence inventory
• Support Quality Management System
