Responsibilities
Job Summary:
The Account Executive will be responsible for managing the company’s accounting operations and ensuring accurate and timely financial records. The role will handle full set accounts independently, support month-end closing, prepare financial reports, and coordinate with external auditors and tax agents.
Key Responsibilities:
· Handle the full set of accounts, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and bank reconciliation.
· Prepare and maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documents.
· Perform monthly closing and prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
· Prepare and maintain schedules for audit and financial reporting purposes.
· Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretary, and other external parties when required.
· Coordinate and provide necessary documents and information for annual audit.
· Assist with tax-related matters, including tax computation, submissions, and correspondence with tax agents.
· Monitor and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
· Prepare payment, receipt, journal, and other accounting entries.
· Monitor cash flow and assist in preparing cash flow reports.
· Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis when required.
· Ensure accounting records and transactions comply with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
· Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.
· Assist in preparing reports and information requested by management.
· Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
· Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
· At least 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
· Experience handling full set accounts is required.
· Experience in audit preparation and liaising with external auditors.
· Knowledge of Malaysian accounting and tax requirements will be an advantage.
· Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
· Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
· Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
· Good communication and interpersonal skills.
· Candidates with experience in retail, e-commerce, FMCG, or trading companies will have an added advantage.
