About Silicon Photonics Business Division
Delta Silicon Photonics Business Division develops world-class silicon photonics chips and solutions that power next-generation sensors and intelligent systems. Our mission is to deliver smarter and safer environments — from machines and infrastructure to everyday life — by translating advanced silicon photonics into real-world impact that benefits people. We are a future-focused, innovative, and entrepreneurial team driven by deep technology expertise, bold execution, and a strong sense of purpose.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Scientist in Optoelectronics & Electronics, you will architect and implement the critical analog, mixed-signal, and drive hardware that powers our FMCW optical engines. You will design ultra-linear laser driving circuits, high-sensitivity receiver front-ends (TIAs), and clean power management systems to unlock maximum dynamic range, low phase noise, and precise frequency chirping for FMCW LiDAR.
What It’s Like Working With Us
You’ll work in a highly technical, fast-moving environment where problems are complex and solutions are not always predefined. Collaboration is essential across engineering, product, operations, and supply-chain teams, and progress depends on clear thinking, trust, and ownership.
We value curiosity and continuous learning, and we expect team members to be comfortable navigating ambiguity, testing assumptions, and improving through iteration. People here are encouraged to take initiative, learn quickly from both successes and setbacks, and shape how work gets done.
Key Responsibilities
Laser Driver Selection & Tuning:
Evaluate, select, and integrate commercial laser drivers for narrow-linewidth lasers. Optimize driving parameters and closed-loop control schemes to achieve ultra-linear current ramps (chirps) with minimum phase noise and high thermal stability.
AFE Optimization & Signal Conditioning:
Select and application-level optimize Transimpedance Amplifiers (TIAs) and differential amplifier chains. Fine-tune dynamic range, gain staging, and filtering to process FMCW beat frequency signals (MHz) with low distortion and noise floor.
Mixed-Signal PCB & Data Acquisition:
Lead multi-layer mixed-signal PCB design and layout (e.g., Altium/Cadence Allegro). Focus on low-noise Power Distribution Networks (PDN), high-speed ADC/DAC interface routing, and strict signal integrity for beat frequency signal extraction.
Power Architecture & EMI Suppression:
Design and optimize low-noise power regulation schemes (LDOs, filtered switching converters) to minimize electrical ripple, crosstalk, and EMI that degrade laser stability and receiver sensitivity.
Optoelectronic & EE Characterization:
Perform hands-on laboratory evaluation of laser chirp linearity, beat frequency spectrum, photodiode responsivity, and AFE dynamic range using standard mixed-signal and optical test equipment.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related field.
Experience:
3+ years of experience in analog/mixed-signal circuit design, optoelectronic hardware, or precision electronic systems.
Technical Expertise:
