About the Role

The Global Network Build organization is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer (L3) to join our team. This role is critical in providing subject matter expertise to support our Global WAN, which spans all business units and regions.

You will be responsible for translating high-level architecture into actionable plans, specifically creating Low-Level Designs (LLD) and Deployment Engineering plans for projects that optimize, enhance, and expand our connectivity footprint. This includes supporting Revenue, Non-Revenue, and Cloud-based resources.

You will work closely with security compliance, engineering, and operational teams to ensure a resilient and secure network infrastructure that adheres to stringent Regulatory, Governmental, and Industry security controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Deployment: Lead the creation of detailed Low-Level Designs (LLD) and Deployment Engineering plans for complex network projects involving LAN/WAN, Wireless, and SD-WAN.
• Global Infrastructure: Provide L3 support and expertise for the Global WAN, ensuring high availability and performance across all business units and regions.
• Security Implementation: Collaborate with security compliance teams to implement and maintain secure network architectures, including firewalls, VPN gateways, and Web Application Firewalls (WAF).
• Vendor Management: Engineer, configure, and deploy solutions from a diverse range of manufacturers including Fortinet, Cisco/Meraki, Citrix, and Checkpoint.
• Traffic Management: Manage and optimize network traffic using load balancers and proxy solutions to ensure efficient resource delivery.
• Protocols & Security: Maintain a deep understanding of routing and switching protocols, VPNs, IPS, and WAF to troubleshoot complex issues and drive network evolution.
• Documentation: Produce high-quality documentation for operational teams to ensure smooth handover of projects into BAU (Business As Usual).
• Compliance: Ensure all network builds comply with internal security policies and external regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Technical Expertise:

• Routing & Switching: Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VLANs, and STP.
• Security: Hands-on experience with Firewall rule implementation, IPS, and Proxy technologies.
• VPN & SD-WAN: Expert-level understanding of IPsec VPN, SSL VPN, and SD-WAN architectures.
• Cloud/Connectivity: Experience integrating on-premise networks with Cloud-based resources (Azure/AWS/GCP).

Hardware & Vendors (Mandatory):

• Firewalls & Security: Fortinet (FortiGate) and/or Checkpoint.
• Networking: Cisco (Routing/Switching) and Cisco Meraki (Wireless/Full Stack).
• Application Delivery: Load Balancers (Citrix NetScaler/ADC or F5).
• Gateways: VPN Gateways and WAN optimization appliances.

Professional Skills:

• 6-9 years of experience in a Network Engineering role, preferably in a global enterprise environment.
• Proven ability to write Low-Level Designs (LLD) and Method of Procedure (MOP) documents.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of working with cross-functional teams (Security, Ops, Architecture).

Preferred Qualifications (Advantageous)

• Certifications: CCNP/CCIE, Fortinet NSE 5/7, Checkpoint CCSA/CCSE, or Citrix CCE-N.
• Experience with WAF (Web Application Firewall) policies.
• Knowledge of automation and scripting (Python, Ansible) for network deployment.
• Experience working in heavily regulated industries (Finance, Government, Healthcare).
