HR MANAGER
Location: Current in Port Klang, moving to i-City Shah Alam next year
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced HR Manager to lead the full spectrum of HR functions, workforce planning, employee relations, compliance, talent management and HR operations. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Malaysian employment requirements and experience in a manufacturing, warehousing, logistics or labour-intensive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Lead manpower planning, recruitment, workforce budgeting and organisational development.
- Manage full-spectrum HR including payroll governance, compensation & benefits, performance management, training and employee relations.
- Handle disciplinary cases, domestic inquiries, grievances, termination and industrial-relations matters.
- Develop HR policies, procedures, salary structures, KPIs and succession plans.
- Oversee foreign-worker recruitment, quota, Immigration/JTKSM compliance, accommodation and related matters.
- Monitor employee engagement, productivity, turnover, attendance and workforce costs.
- Lead HR audits and ensure compliance with Malaysian employment and statutory requirements.
- Manage HR budget, vendors, recruitment agencies, training providers and other HR service providers.
- Lead, coach and develop the HR team.
- Prepare monthly HR reports and provide strategic recommendations to the GM/Management.
- Liaise with government authorities, legal advisers and other external stakeholders when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Industrial Relations or related field.
- 7–10 years of HR experience, with at least 4 years in a managerial/team-leadership role.
- Experience in manufacturing, warehousing, logistics or labour-intensive industries is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment and labour laws.
- Proven experience in employee relations, disciplinary investigations, domestic inquiries and employee separation.
- Strong knowledge of recruitment, payroll, compensation & benefits, performance management and training.
- Experience managing foreign-worker matters and government agencies is an advantage.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism.
- Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with HRIS, attendance, payroll or performance-management systems is an advantage.
- Willing to travel to company locations, hostels or government offices when required.
Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM9,000.00 per month
