About the Job

To lead the development and execution of the Company’s strategic direction and transformation agenda, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and sustainable business growth. The role drives strategic planning, company-wide transformation initiatives, and business performance management. To develop analytical models and provide management with robust financial, market, and business analyses that supports strategic decision-making, validates business opportunities, and ensures resources are invested in initiatives that create value for the company.

• Drive the business agenda to ensure that the Management team is provided with sound business cases that adds value and align with the company’s strategic priorities.
• Review business cases and initiative spend to ensure that financial / non-financial assumptions are rigorous, accurate and provide advice to Management on course of action.
• Lead the strategic initiatives agenda by partnering with the Business Units to ensure sufficient and timely reviews of strategic initiatives.
• Guide the Business Units with recommended decisions and facilitate in removing roadblocks when preparing their business case.
• Maintain flexibility throughout the matrix, proactively reaching up, down and across for support
• Lead the team in designing business requirements to develop a centralised repository to store, organise, and preserve consolidated views on policy, customer, claims, funds, transactions, etc. from various Great Eastern systems as well as to propose visual analytics / dashboards for new users.
• Perform oversight in gathering of business rules from business SMEs to standardize the attributes in the repository to accurate retrieval and use of information for campaigns and analytics.

We are looking for people with

• Bachelor’s degree from a recognised tertiary institution with at least 12 years of work experience.
• Strong influencing skills at a senior level and across the organisation, with the ability to credibly engage to frame, sell, influence and negotiate.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills to communicate and manage different levels of stakeholders across the organisation and navigate through conflicts and differences competently and with ease.
• Ability to identify, challenge and consider opportunities outside of conventional thinking to resolve problems and address gaps to improve the current state & embrace new changes.
