Field Service Engineer delivers on‑site and remote technical service for Sartorius equipment to ensure reliable system operation, customer satisfaction and compliance with defined service standards.

Main Responsibilities & Tasks

• Perform installations, calibrations and preventive maintenance activities on Sartorius equipment at customer sites by applying approved service procedures and adhering to internal and customer guidelines to ensure proper system functionality and long‑term operational reliability

• Provide on‑site and remote technical support to customers by analyzing reported issues, identifying causes of failures and applying corrective actions to ensure uninterrupted customer operations

• Escalate complex technical issues to higher support levels by documenting findings and following defined escalation processes to ensure timely and effective resolution

• Maintain accurate and complete service documentation, including time reporting, expenses and work performed by using approved service and reporting systems to ensure transparency, traceability and compliance

• Ensure adherence to customer‑specific and internal health and safety requirements during all service activities by following safety instructions and site regulations to protect people, equipment and facilities

• Apply standard service procedures and guidelines consistently by following defined processes and quality standards to ensure service quality and process compliance

Qualification & Skills

• Technical certification in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field

• 2+ years of experience in field service, maintenance or technical support roles involving electronic, mechanical, or hydraulic systems

• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems in a customer-facing environment

• Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset to explain technical topics clearly and professionally

• Ability to follow structured service processes and documentation standards

• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
