Job Description

Responsibilities

A leading organisation in the semiconductor and electronics industry is seeking a Sales Manager to join their Singapore team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for you to make a significant impact by developing new business, building strong customer relationships, and driving growth within the local market. You will be empowered to work closely with cross-functional teams, including Field Application Engineers and product specialists, to create demand and deliver innovative solutions to strategic customers. The company values your expertise in direct customer engagement and provides a supportive environment where your interpersonal skills and commitment to excellence will be recognised. With flexible working opportunities and access to ongoing training, this position is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative setting and is passionate about nurturing long-term partnerships.

What You'll Do

As a Sales Manager based in Singapore, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth by proactively identifying new customers and applications within the local market. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve engaging directly with strategic clients such as OEMs, ODMs, EMS providers, Design Houses, as well as collaborating with internal teams like Field Application Engineers and product specialists. You will independently manage sales pipelines from initial contact through negotiation to project completion while ensuring that all interactions are conducted with empathy and consideration. Success in this role requires you to build lasting relationships across multiple departments at client organisations—purchasing, engineering, R&D—and consistently provide valuable market insights. By expanding customer coverage through effective distributor partnerships and monitoring industry developments closely, you will contribute significantly to the company’s reputation as a dependable partner in Singapore’s thriving electronics sector.

  • Develop new business opportunities and manage customer accounts within the Singapore market, ensuring consistent growth and expansion.
  • Identify potential customers, applications, and design-in projects by leveraging your understanding of the local semiconductor landscape.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, ODMs, EMS providers, Design Houses, and other strategic partners across Singapore.
  • Establish connections with purchasing, engineering, R&D departments, and key decision-makers at customer organisations to foster trust and loyalty.
  • Collaborate closely with Field Application Engineers (FAE) and product teams to drive demand creation, design-in activities, and project development initiatives.
  • Independently oversee sales pipelines, quotations, pricing negotiations, forecasts, and follow-up actions for ongoing projects.
  • Work with local distributors and channel partners to expand coverage and penetrate new accounts while tracking distributor activities effectively.
  • Monitor market trends in Singapore’s semiconductor sector, analyse competitor activities, assess customer requirements, and provide timely feedback to internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure all sales activities are conducted in a manner that supports communal goals and strengthens inter-personal connections within the team.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer development progress, sales opportunities, and project outcomes for reporting purposes.

What You Bring

Your proven experience as a Sales Manager equips you with deep industry knowledge spanning semiconductors, integrated circuits (IC), electronic components or related fields. You bring exceptional relationship-building skills that enable you to connect empathetically with clients across various sectors—from OEMs to Design Houses—while fostering communal goals within your team. Your ability to communicate clearly in English ensures that all business dealings are conducted politely and efficiently. You possess a keen sensitivity towards market trends which allows you to respond promptly to changing customer requirements. Your background includes successful management of complex sales pipelines where nurturing trust among stakeholders was paramount. Additionally, your familiarity with technical products such as Analog ICs or PMICs further strengthens your capacity for collaborative problem-solving. Whether you come from a manufacturer or distributor background—with direct end-customer development experience—you demonstrate unwavering commitment to supporting organisational objectives through inclusive practices.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Sales, Account Management or Business Development within the semiconductor, IC or electronic components industry is essential for this role.
  • Proven track record of direct customer-facing sales experience demonstrating your ability to nurture relationships with end clients.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Singapore semiconductor and electronics market enables you to identify emerging opportunities quickly.
  • Demonstrated success in developing new customers and generating fresh business prospects through collaborative efforts.
  • Ability to independently manage customer accounts, sales pipelines, revenue targets while maintaining high standards of professionalism.
  • Exceptional communication skills paired with strong negotiation abilities allow you to build trust among diverse stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English for daily business communication ensures seamless interaction with both internal teams and external partners.
  • Experience working directly with OEMs, ODMs, EMS providers or major electronics customers in Singapore is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Analog ICs, Power Management ICs (PMIC), Power Semiconductors or related products enhances your technical credibility.
  • Existing network within Singapore’s electronics or semiconductor market gives you an advantage when establishing new connections.
