We are currently partnered up with multiple well-established contractors (subcontractors and main contractors) to build their project management team and spearhead on-site operations.

About The Job

Project Manager

• Develop master project schedules, work breakdown structures, and execution strategies to track key construction milestones.
• Manage project budgets, value engineering, variation orders, and progress claims alongside quantity surveyors.
• Coordinate with local authorities (PBTs), land offices, DOSH (JKKP), JAS (EIA), and utility providers (e.g., TNB, Air Selangor, IWK) for relevant permits and site clearances.
• Supervise on-site civil works, enforce QA/QC protocols, and inspect deliverables against structural drawings and Malaysian Standards (MS).
• Act as the primary liaison between clients, C&S consultants, architects, and subcontractors to resolve site issues and RFIs promptly.
• Enforce strict site safety compliance following CIDB Green Card standards and Malaysian Safety & Health regulations to minimize site hazards.
• Prepare monthly progress reports, track KPIs, perform risk assessments, and formulate mitigation plans for potential delays or cost overruns.
  
  

Construction / Site Manager

• Lead daily site construction activities across civil, structural, architectural, and M&E trades to ensure works conform to baseline schedules and specifications.
• Direct and monitor sub-contractors, manage trade sequencing, resolve constructability issues on-site, and evaluate work output for progress payments.
• Enforce strict quality control standards in accordance with CIDB QLASSIC guidelines and organize joint inspections for Form G certification towards the Certificate of Completion and Compliance (CCC).
• Implement site safety protocols adhering to DOSH (JKKP) regulations and CIDB SHASSIC standards to maintain zero-accident workplace targets.
• Coordinate heavy plant deployment, concrete pour schedules, and material deliveries to prevent site bottlenecks and reduce material wastage.
• Track daily work progress, update construction schedules, conduct daily toolbox meetings, and resolve trade conflicts immediately on-site.
• Verify actual site progress for interim claims, record work variations, and manage site-level variation orders alongside quantity surveyors.
  
  

Project Engineer

• Review engineering drawings, method statements, and shop drawings to identify design conflicts and process Requests for Information (RFIs) with C&S or M&E consultants.
• Track daily work progress against the master schedule, assist in updating progress reports, and highlight potential delays to the Project Manager.
• Conduct routine site inspections, verify material quality against approved samples, and coordinate material sampling (e.g., concrete cube tests, soil compaction tests) in accordance with Malaysian Standards (MS).
• Coordinate daily task execution with subcontractors, review progress claims, and verify work quantities alongside the quantity surveyor.
• Prepare technical documentation, method statements, and test reports needed for local authority inspections, Form G certifications, and CIDB QLASSIC audits.
• Ensure all works on site align with company HSE policies, DOSH guidelines, and CIDB Green Card regulations.
  
  

Requirements

• Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or relevant
• 3 to 5 years of experience for engineer level, 8 to 10 years for manager level
• Have experience doing data centers / high rise / infrastructure / industrial / high rise / commercial projects
• Proficient in Mandarin is an ADDED ADVANTAGE to liaise with China contractors and stakeholders
• Open to relocate / travel for work
