Job Description

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Communications & Ministry Support

•         Manage the internal and external communications activities of the Church.

•         Serve as communications counsel to the various ministries as they seek to effectively reach and communicate with their communities.

•         Coordinate Ministry meetings and prepare Ministry reports, supporting the Ministry Chair.

•         Participate in church corporate events and relevant meetings.

Digital Platforms & Content

•         Oversee and grow the Church's communication platforms, including the church website, social media and broadcast channels.

•         Manage all communications content that supports Sunday services.

Production, Events & Livestream

•         Oversee the production and distribution of corporate gifts for church events.

•         Oversee livestream coverage pertaining to Sunday services and events held at the Church.

Budget & Team Leadership

•         Manage and supervise a team of 3 staff, providing guidance, support and direction to ensure effective team performance.

•         Plan and manage the communications budget, together with the Ministry Chair.

•         Nurture and lead volunteers in the Ministry.

•         Carry out any other tasks as assigned.


Requirements

•         Degree in Communications, Mass Media, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations or a related discipline.

•         4 to 6 years of relevant experience in communications, media or marketing, with experience leading a team or overseeing volunteers.

•         Strong content and communication skills, including writing, editing and content creation across print, digital and broadcast platforms.

•         Proficient in digital media and creative tools, including social media management, website CMS, Canva/Adobe Creative Suite and basic video editing.

•         Experience in media production, including livestreaming, AV equipment and production support for large-scale events; knowledge of branding and multi-channel communication strategies.

  • •         Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and develop a team, coordinate stakeholders, work independently, and demonstrate creativity, initiative and alignment with the Church’s mission and values.
