Senior Consultant, Data Analyst (CLM)
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis & Data Profiling
- Perform data analysis and profiling of source and target systems.
- Analyze customer, KYC, onboarding, and reference data to identify data quality issues and migration risks.
- Conduct data discovery to understand data structures, relationships, and dependencies.
- Define data quality metrics and baseline assessments.
Data Mapping & Migration Design
- Develop source-to-target data mapping specifications.
- Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
- Define migration rules, transformation logic, and validation criteria.
- Work with stakeholders to resolve data mapping issues and gaps.
Technical & Functional Documentation
- Prepare and maintain functional and technical documents, data mappings, validation documents, test plans, and test cases.
- Ensure documentation complies with governance and audit requirements.
Data Quality & Anomaly Detection
- Identify anomalies, duplicates, missing records, and data inconsistencies.
- Investigate root causes and recommend remediation actions.
- Execute data quality controls and support data cleansing activities.
ETL & Migration Pipeline Validation
- Validate ETL processes, migration pipelines, and transformation logic.
- Review data processing workflows and business rule implementation.
- Troubleshoot migration issues, exceptions, and data discrepancies.
Testing & Reconciliation
- Execute UAT, mock migrations, and production migration validation.
- Perform source-to-target reconciliation and data verification.
- Validate data accuracy, completeness, and record counts.
Stakeholder Management
- Partner with Business, Compliance, Operations, Data Governance, and Technology teams.
- Facilitate requirements workshops and data discussions.
- Communicate findings, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Support project governance, reporting, and issue resolution.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Data Analysis, Data Migration, Data Management, or related data-focused roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server and advanced SQL development.
- Proficient in complex SQL queries, including joins, stored procedures, functions, views, CTEs, performance tuning, and data validation.
- Strong understanding of relational databases, data modelling, data warehousing concepts, and data migration methodologies.
- Experience working with ETL processes, data integration, and migration pipelines.
- Proven expertise in data profiling, data mapping, data reconciliation, data quality assessment, and root cause analysis.
- Experience analyzing large and complex datasets to support data migration and transformation initiatives.
- Experience with data migration tools, frameworks, and best practices.
- Knowledge of data governance, data quality frameworks, and data management principles.
- Familiarity with Power BI or other reporting and analytics tools.
- Experience working in multinational banking or financial services environments is preferred.
- Proven experience delivering banking data transformation or migration projects is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to collaborate effectively across business and technology teams.
- Demonstrated ability to identify data anomalies, perform root cause analysis, and drive issue resolution.
- Meticulous attention to detail with a strong commitment to data quality, accuracy, and governance.
