• JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Operate, monitor, inspect, and maintain electrical installations and distribution systems up to 33kV, ensuring safe, reliable, and uninterrupted building operations.

2. Carry out high-voltage switching operations, isolation, energization, and restoration work in accordance with approved operating procedures and safety requirements.

3. Ensure all electrical installations comply with applicable regulations, statutory requirements, company policies, and safety standards.

4. Plan, coordinate, and supervise preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities for High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) electrical systems.

5. Lead troubleshooting and fault-finding activities for electrical equipment and distribution systems to minimize downtime and ensure prompt restoration of services.

6. Supervise technicians and contractors during maintenance, testing, commissioning, and project work to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with specifications.

7. Conduct routine inspections of electrical equipment including transformers, switchgear, generators, UPS systems, LV switchboards, and associated electrical infrastructure.

8. Maintain accurate maintenance records, switching logs, inspection reports, statutory documentation, and technical reports.

9. Liaise with utility providers, regulatory authorities, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders regarding electrical maintenance, outages, testing, inspections, and statutory compliance.

10. Mentor and provide technical guidance to technicians and junior maintenance personnel while promoting safe working practices and continuous professional development.

11. Respond to electrical emergencies and provide technical leadership to restore normal operations safely and efficiently.

12. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance electrical system reliability, operational efficiency, energy performance, and workplace safety.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

· SPM/Sijil Kemahiran SKM/Diploma or equivalent in Engineering, Building Maintenance, or related fields.

· Valid BO33kV Chargeman Certificate issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission Malaysia).

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
