Job Description

Responsibilities

1) Mechanical Engineer (Facility Management)

Job Description:

  • Plan, execute, and monitor the Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedule for all mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire fighting systems.
  • Ensure fire fighting systems (sprinklers, hydrants, alarms) are regularly inspected, tested, and compliant with safety standards and regulations under the PPM program.
  • Track and review PPM performance, equipment efficiency, and corrective action logs to minimize operational breakdown risks.
  • Coordinate and supervise contractors during PPM activities, installations, and corrective repair works.
  • Prepare comprehensive engineering reports, including monthly operational reports, system performance analysis, PPM progress summaries, incident investigations, and audit compliance documentation.
  • Maintain detailed maintenance records, equipment history logs, and operational documentation as per policies.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and facility management teams to improve overall building performance and safety.
  • Respond promptly to mechanical system emergencies and coordinate rapid resolution.

Requirements:

  • Relevant engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience in planning, monitoring PPM programs, and preparing technical reports for mechanical and fire fighting systems in large buildings.
  • Strong knowledge of safety standards and building codes related to mechanical and fire fighting systems.
  • Good communication, technical writing, and coordination skills.

2) Electrical Engineer (Facility Management)

Job Description:

  • Plan, execute, and monitor the Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) program for all electrical systems, including LV distribution, HV systems, backup generators (genset), and UPS systems.
  • Ensure emergency lighting, lightning protection, and electrical safety systems undergo regular PPM testing in compliance with national electrical codes and safety standards.
  • Analyze PPM findings, power loggers, and equipment condition reports to prevent unplanned downtime and optimize energy consumption.
  • Supervise contractors during electrical PPM execution, servicing, and repair works to ensure quality and specification compliance.
  • Conduct energy audit assessments and implement energy efficiency initiatives derived from PPM monitoring.
  • Prepare technical and operational reports, including monthly maintenance summaries, power failure root-cause analysis (RCA), energy consumption reports, and statutory compliance status.
  • Maintain accurate PPM logs, incident reports, and technical documentation in accordance with facility management protocols.
  • Respond to electrical emergencies, power outages, and system faults, leading immediate troubleshooting and restoration efforts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (preferably registered with the relevant national engineering board/competent authority, e.g., Chargeman certification if applicable).
  • Proven experience in managing, monitoring PPM, and reporting on electrical infrastructure and power systems in large-scale facilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical safety regulations, building codes, and maintenance standards.
  • Strong technical writing, analytical, troubleshooting, and contractor management skills.

3) Civil Engineer (Facility Management)

Job Description:

  • Establish and monitor the Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedule for structural assets, building envelope, waterproofing, and external grounds.
  • Plan and carry out routine PPM inspections to identify and address civil defects early, such as concrete spalling, structural cracks, water seepage, or roof leaks.
  • Oversee PPM tasks related to drainage systems, slope stability, roads, and parking facilities within the compound.
  • Supervise building refurbishment, civil repair works, and contractor compliance during PPM cycles to maintain structural safety standards.
  • Conduct space utilization assessments and manage minor architectural or structural modifications based on facility requirements.
  • Prepare detailed technical inspection reports, building condition assessments, defect lists, corrective action proposals, and cost estimation reports for management review.
  • Prepare technical specifications, scopes of work, cost estimates, and reports for civil repair and maintenance tenders.
  • Coordinate emergency response for civil-related incidents, such as major flooding, pipe bursts affecting structural assets, or storm damage.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Building Surveying.
  • Experience in developing, executing, and monitoring PPM plans, as well as compiling structural defect and inspection reports.
  • Familiarity with local building bylaws, structural safety guidelines, and public works regulations.
  • Strong technical reporting, project management, inspection, and supervisory skills.

4) Administration Executive / Officer (Facility Management)

Job Description:

  • Manage day-to-day administrative operations, office logistics, and documentation support for the Facility Management unit.
  • Handle procurement processes, vendor registration, service contracts, and verify contractor invoices/work completion reports.
  • Maintain official asset registers, inventory records, and facility documentation (SOPs, permits, licensing, warranties, and PPM schedules).
  • Coordinate helpdesk operations, record service requests from building occupants, and dispatch tasks to relevant engineering teams.
  • Assist in managing visitor passes, security access compliance, and event setup within the facility.
  • Prepare monthly administrative reports, helpdesk performance summaries, procurement tracking, and budget utilization reports for facility management.
  • Serve as the main point of contact between building occupants, stakeholders, and external service providers.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Business Administration, Public Administration, Facility Management, or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in administrative roles, vendor management, or helpdesk operations within facility management environments.
  • Proficient in administrative software, record-keeping, report preparation, and document control procedures.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills.

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
