Rheinmetall Electronics Singapore is a private limited liability company in Singapore specializing in sales, technical support, systems integration, sales maintenance, and related services in the area of defence.

Job Summary

As a Field Service Representative, you will maintain and repair complex simulation systems, manage subcontractors, support customer training, and ensure timely, high-quality service delivery for small- to medium-sized projects. You will be stationed in customer's premises to perform your role.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repair on complex simulation systems and their components to ensure operational reliability
  • Troubleshoot and rectify electrical and mechanical faults on complex systems at customer sites to minimize downtime
  • Repair defective assemblies to restore system functionality
  • Provide technical services for PCs, networks, projectors, electrical systems, air conditioning, and vehicle-specific operating components of simulation devices
  • Document all services performed and create detailed error logs for reporting and quality assurance
  • Plan and manage subcontractors to ensure maintenance and repairs are completed on schedule and within budget
  • Advise customers on system-related inquiries and recommend maintenance or system development improvements
  • Support Site Manager or designated managers in preparing In-Service Support (ISS) contracts to facilitate service agreements
  • Prepare and deliver customer training courses on system operation, maintenance, and servicing to enhance user competence

Required competencies and certifications

  • Diploma or Higher ITEC qualification in an engineering field
  • Proficient English communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Knowledge of computer hardware and basic software skills including Windows, Linux, and network administration
  • Experience handling technical system documentation and using electrical test equipment
  • Strong technical understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Experience in maintenance or system integration within a related industry

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Trained electrician authorized to work on electrical systems up to 400 V AC in compliance with applicable laws (preferred, not essential)
  • Minimum of 3 years working experience in a relevant field (preferred, not essential)
