About the Role

You'll be responsible for designing, developing, and configuring AS400 COBOL software modules, interfaces, and components that power critical banking systems. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with clients, contribute to the full software delivery lifecycle, and continuously enhance your technical skill set in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and configure AS400 COBOL software modules, interfaces, and components
• Collaborate within a team environment to deliver high-quality software that meets business requirements and timelines
• Explore and propose new business solutions to continually enhance system functionality and meet evolving user needs
• Adhere to established standards and methodologies for application design and development
• Stay current with the latest trends and advancements in software development
• Proactively identify and raise issues or risks as they arise
• Support the complete software development lifecycle, including maintenance of existing AS400 applications
• Engage directly with clients to understand requirements and deliver tailored solutions

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5–8 years of hands-on AS400 COBOL development experience
• Experience in the banking domain, with a strong preference for payments domain exposure
• Working knowledge of AS400, COBOL, SQL, and DB2 database
• Familiarity with JIRA and ALDON (or similar change/release management tools)
• Demonstrated experience across the full software delivery lifecycle
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization and with diverse stakeholders
• Proven experience working directly with clients to deliver services and solutions
• A self-starter mindset with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
