We are looking for someone who is:

• Strong in SQL and comfortable working directly with databases.
• Interested in both software development and Business Intelligence.
• Comfortable analysing large datasets and identifying patterns or discrepancies.
• Able to work independently while also collaborating with senior developers and business users.
• Detail-oriented and committed to data accuracy.
• A quick learner who can pick up new BI platforms and technologies.
• Good at troubleshooting and solving technical problems.
• Able to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
• Qlik Sense is preferred but not mandatory.

key responsibilities:

Business Intelligence & Reporting

• Develop, maintain, and enhance BI dashboards, reports, and data visualisations.
• Work with business and technical teams to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Extract, analyse, and transform data from databases and other sources for reporting purposes.
• Assist in developing interactive dashboards, reports, charts, and performance indicators.
• Maintain and improve existing BI reports and dashboards.
• Troubleshoot data discrepancies and reporting issues.
• Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure the accuracy and consistency of reports.
• Assist in identifying opportunities to automate manual reporting and data-related processes.

SQL & Database Development

• Write and maintain SQL queries for data extraction, reporting, analysis, and validation.
• Work with relational databases and perform data manipulation and transformation.
• Develop queries involving JOINs, GROUP BY, subqueries, CTEs, aggregations, and other SQL functions.
• Analyse database structures and understand relationships between tables.
• Troubleshoot SQL queries and investigate data inconsistencies.
• Assist with database optimisation and query performance improvements.
• Support senior developers in developing data models and reporting datasets.

Software Development

• Assist in developing and maintaining software applications and internal systems.
• Integrate data and reporting functionality into existing software applications where required.
• Work with developers and technical teams to troubleshoot software and data-related issues.
• Participate in testing, debugging, documentation, and deployment activities.
• Follow software development standards, version control practices, and coding guidelines.
• Learn and adopt new technologies and development tools as required.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with senior developers, BI developers, database administrators, and business users.
• Participate in requirements gathering and technical discussions.
• Provide support for ad-hoc data and reporting requests.
• Document SQL queries, reports, dashboards, and technical processes.
• Continuously improve technical and analytical skills.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience with any one or more of the following BI/reporting platforms is acceptable:

• Qlik Sense / Qlik
• Microsoft Power BI
• Tableau
• Looker / Looker Studio
• Sisense
• MicroStrategy
• SAP BusinessObjects
• IBM Cognos Analytics
• Metabase
• Domo
• Amazon QuickSight
• Or other comparable Business Intelligence / reporting platforms.

Candidates do not need experience in all of the above. Strong experience in one BI platform, combined with strong SQL skills, is sufficient.

Experince:

• 0–2 years of relevant experience in software development, Business Intelligence, data analytics, reporting, or a related field.
• Fresh graduates with strong SQL knowledge and relevant academic projects, internships, BI projects, or dashboard portfolios are welcome to apply.
• Candidates with 1–2 years of practical BI/SQL experience will be particularly preferred.
