Job description:

• Own and manage the day-to-day social media calendar across Instagram, TikTok and other relevant platforms, ensuring content is planned, prepared, approved and published on time.
• Develop social-first content ideas with the Art Director and Marketing team, translating campaigns, launches, outlet moments and cultural conversations into relevant content.
• Create content independently using a phone (or camera), including Reels/TikToks, product content, staff and customer moments, interviews, behind-the-scenes content and on-ground coverage.
• Handle lightweight to intermediate video editing for everyday social content using tools such as CapCut or equivalent, reducing reliance on the creative team for every piece of content.
• Write concise, natural and brand-appropriate social copy, captions, hooks, on-screen text and community responses.
• Own community management across comments and DMs, identify useful UGC and help Koppiku participate in conversations in a way that feels human rather than corporate.
• Stay on top of platform behaviour, social trends, formats, memes, audio and cultural moments, and proactively recommend what Koppiku should participate in - and what we should leave alone.
• Support KOL and creator activity, including briefing, coordination, content tracking, reposting and identifying potential creators or collaborations.
• Cover outlet openings, activations, events and key brand moments on-ground, capturing and turning around usable content quickly.
• Maintain a clear content and approval workflow, including drafts, captions, asset versions, posting schedules and final approvals.
• Track social performance and prepare simple, useful reporting on reach, engagement, views, follower growth and content performance, with recommendations on what to repeat, improve or stop.
• Assist with marketing-related administrative tasks including supplier follow-ups and documentation where required.
• Coordinate with Ops, Product/Tech and other departments to ensure customer-facing campaign information is accurate and updated.
• Manage and schedule app push notifications, including copy writing and support updates to app banners, and other customer-facing digital touchpoints where required.

Requirements

• Approximately 1-3 years of experience in social media, content or digital marketing, ideally within F&B, lifestyle, fashion, beauty, entertainment or another fast-moving consumer brand.
• Strong understanding of Instagram and TikTok, including what makes content native to each platform.
• A good eye for content and the confidence to shoot usable material without requiring a full production setup.
• Working knowledge of short-form video editing and basic content creation.
• Strong copy instincts. You know the difference between a caption that sounds human and one that sounds like it came from ChatGPT.
• Naturally curious about Malaysian culture, internet culture, coffee, food, trends and what people are actually talking about.
• Organised and reliable enough to manage multiple content deadlines, approvals, outlets and campaigns without losing track of details.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities can change quickly.
• Able to take creative feedback, iterate quickly and maintain a high standard for customer-facing work.
• Proactive: you bring ideas, references and opportunities to the table instead of waiting for a content brief for every post.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
