Catering Events | Full-Time | Up to $600 Monthly Incentive

About Sofnade:
Sofnade is a fast-growing catering company specialising in live food stations, corporate events, buffets and celebrations.

We are looking for responsible and proactive Event Operations Crew members who can take ownership of an event, communicate confidently with customers and ensure every setup is completed properly and on time.

This is not a role for someone who only waits for instructions. You must be able to plan ahead, identify possible problems and take action when something needs to be done.

Job ResponsibilitiesBefore the Event

• Review the event details, timing, venue requirements and equipment list in advance
• Contact or liaise with the customer when required to confirm setup and service arrangements
• Check that all food, equipment, decorations, disposables and event items are properly prepared
• Highlight possible problems early instead of waiting until the event day
• Coordinate with the operations team, drivers and other crew members
• Ensure all required items are loaded and accounted for before departure

During the Event

• Arrive punctually and complete the setup before the agreed event start time
• Set up live stations, buffet tables, decorations and equipment neatly and professionally
• Communicate politely and confidently with customers, venue staff and guests
• Brief crew and assign duties when required
• Handle unexpected problems calmly and provide practical solutions
• Follow proper food hygiene, safety and service standards
• Keep the event area clean, organised and presentable
• Take clear setup photos before the event begins
• Represent Sofnade professionally at all times

After the Event

• Conduct proper teardown and packing after the event
• Count and check all equipment, utensils, decorations and event items
• Report any missing, damaged or faulty equipment immediately
• Ensure items are returned, cleaned and stored in the correct location
• Leave the event venue clean and tidy

• Calm and practical when handling unexpected situations
• Meticulous when checking and handling company equipment
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Able to follow instructions while also using good judgment
• Able to perform manual tasks and comfortable with carrying, loading, setup and teardown work
• Comfortable working at different event venues and timings
• Prior catering, banquet, logistics or event experience is an advantage
• Willing to work on weekends and public holidays when events are scheduled
