Job Purpose
The HR Generalist provides hands-on, end-to-end HR support across day-to-day operations for the Hong Kong office. Responsible for implementing HR programs, managing core employee lifecycle processes, and providing operational guidance to line managers and staff, the HR Generalist ensures seamless HR delivery and compliance with local employment regulations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Core HR Operations & Onboarding
Manage operational HR duties, including onboarding, offboarding, contract administration, and employee record maintenance for the Hong Kong office.
Administer end-to-end leave management, including tracking, auditing, and reporting statutory and company leave entitlements.
Handle employee medical and commercial insurance schemes, including enrolment, termination, claims processing, and vendor liaisons.
Facilitate a smooth onboarding experience and new hire orientation to ensure seamless integration into the company.
Support the rollout and monitoring of annual performance management cycles.
2. Employee Relations & Advisory
Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures.
Advise line managers on basic employee relations matters, performance improvement plans, and local labor standard applications.
Address routine workplace issues and conduct preliminary investigations under guidance.
3. Engagement & Training Implementation
Execute engagement and well-being initiatives to foster a positive, inclusive, and productive work environment.
Coordinate learning and development activities, training session scheduling, and tracking employee training completion.
4. Compliance & Policy Enforcement
Ensure strict adherence to Hong Kong employment ordinances and statutory regulations.
Maintain and update local HR policies, standard operating procedures, and employee handbooks.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of progressive hands-on HR generalist or operations experience.
Industry Experience: Experience in the Logistics Industry is an advantage.
Languages: Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
Skills & Competencies
Solid operational understanding of core HR processes across employee life-cycle administration, training coordination, and performance management.
Familiarity with Hong Kong Employment Ordinance and HR compliance requirements.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interface effectively with employees across all levels.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Adaptable and resilient in a fast-paced environment.
