Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook dishes according to the restaurant’s recipes and standards.
- Ensure consistent food quality, taste, presentation, and portioning.
- Carry out daily food preparation and mise en place before service.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and workstations.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and proper food storage procedures.
- Check ingredients and ensure proper FIFO and stock rotation.
- Minimise food wastage and report low stock or quality issues.
- Assist with receiving and storing kitchen supplies.
- Clean kitchen equipment and utensils after use.
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Perform opening and closing duties as assigned.
- Carry out other kitchen duties assigned by the Head Chef or management.
- Previous kitchen/cooking experience is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good teamwork and positive working attitude.
- Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Experience in Asian, local or Peranakan cuisine is an advantage.
