Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities :
• Responsible for QA/QC documents of the complete project, including certificates, calibration records, test results, inspection requests, non-conformance reports, site instructions/observations, material receiving records, and other quality-related documents.
• Develop and establish inspection and testing standards, oversee testing methods, and ensure compliance with quality requirements across all projects and production activities.
• Review the quality of incoming materials, fabrication works, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, and customer requirements.
• Supervise the implementation of inspection and test plans, coordinate quality audits, and ensure adherence to approved procedures.
• Assist employees in understanding quality standards and ensure compliance with quality manuals, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and maintain quality records for project and production activities, analyze quality issues, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Develop work procedures, Inspection Test Plans (ITP), checklists, and quality control documentation based on project and production requirements.
• Coordinate with customers, third-party inspectors, suppliers, and production teams for inspections, testing, and quality-related matters.
• Conduct in-process, final, and pre-delivery inspections of fabricated equipment, tanks, skids, piping systems, and other manufactured products.
• Monitor production processes to ensure products are manufactured according to approved drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.
• Investigate production quality issues, root causes of defects, and customer complaints, and recommend corrective actions to improve product quality.
• Verify welding, fabrication, assembly, dimensional, and visual inspections are performed and documented in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
• Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Procurement teams to improve manufacturing efficiency, quality performance, and on-time delivery.
• Maintain quality performance indicators (KPIs) and support continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop and production environment.
• Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.
Job Requirements :
• Based in Penang office/workshop, MUST willing to travel extensively or be stationed in the KL area as required.
• Diploma in Engineering related discipline.
• Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, welding, assembly, or production quality control within industrial equipment, tanks, piping systems, or skid fabrication environments will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in managing quality,
• Experience in Plastic and FRP Tanks, Materials & Utilities fabrication is advantage.
• Possesses knowledge on various Standards eg: AWS, ASME, DVS, BS.
