HVAC / Air Conditioning Intern

Klimatech Engineering Services Sdn Bhd is looking for a hands-on, proactive and motivated HVAC / Air Conditioning Intern who is interested in gaining practical experience in air-conditioning systems, servicing, maintenance, troubleshooting and site operations.

This internship is suitable for students from HVAC, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services or other related technical programmes who want to develop real-world technical skills and gain exposure to actual HVAC operations.

Internship Duration: Minimum 3 months up to 1 year

Key Responsibilities

• Assist technicians and engineers with installation, servicing, maintenance and troubleshooting of HVAC and air-conditioning systems.
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Assist in inspecting air-conditioning equipment and identifying basic system faults.
• Assist with checking basic mechanical and electrical components of HVAC systems.
• Support cleaning, servicing and maintenance of air-conditioning units and related equipment.
• Assist in installation of piping, drainage, wiring and other HVAC-related components under supervision.
• Carry out basic testing and inspection after servicing or installation work.
• Assist with preparation of tools, equipment and materials required for site work.
• Participate in site visits, maintenance works and field assignments when required.
• Maintain proper service and maintenance documentation.
• Ensure tools and equipment are properly handled and maintained.
• Follow workplace safety procedures.
• Support technicians and engineers in other technical assignments when required.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Certificate, DVM, Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Degree in:
• HVAC / Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, or other related technical programmes.
• Basic understanding of HVAC, refrigeration, air-conditioning or mechanical systems.
• Interested in hands-on technical work and site-based activities.
• Proactive, responsible and willing to learn.
• Good attention to detail and able to follow technical instructions.
• Comfortable using basic hand tools and technical equipment.
• Able to work effectively as part of a technical team.
• Willing to travel to customer or project sites when required.
• Possess a valid driving licence is an added advantage.
• Able to commit to a minimum internship period of 3 months.
