CMC Telecom Hiring! Full Time Business Development Manager in Federal Territory - Ricebowl

POSITION SUMMARY 

Responsible for driving CMC Telecom’s commercial growth in Malaysia by establishing direct relationships with mid-to-large enterprise accounts, onboarding strategic Tier-1/Tier-2 SI partners, and developing a predictable pipeline for managed security services (SOC/MDR) and offensive security solutions. Reports to the Business Unit Director, GSP (CMC Telecom, Vietnam). Works closely with the Vietnam-based technical team. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Develop and drive CMC Telecom's go-to-market strategy for Malaysia cybersecurity market. 
• Build a strong enterprise pipeline across priority private-sector verticals, including BFSI, Fintech, BPO & Shared Services, with opportunistic coverage of Healthcare, Manufacturing, and Retail & E-commerce 
• Promote CMC Telecom's professional security services including Penetration Testing, Vulnerability Assessment, Red Team. 
• Lead with Managed Security services — MDR (24/7), SOC-as-a-Service, EDR/NDR, Threat Intelligence, Incident Response, and Threat Hunting.  
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract close, including solutioning with CMC's Vietnam-based pre-sales and delivery teams. 
• Build and manage a channel partner ecosystem — System Integrators (SI), MSSPs, distributors, and technology consulting firms operating in the Philippines. 
• Gather and report market insights on regulatory developments, competitor landscape, enterprise procurement cycles, and CISO-level priorities. 
• Represent CMC Telecom at industry events and/or local marketing activities including conferences, cybersecurity forums & communities, seminars etc  

REQUIREMENTS 

• Minimum 5 years' experience in Cybersecurity, Managed Security Services, ICT, System Integration, or Cloud/Data Center business development in Malaysia. 
• Proven track record of closing enterprise accounts in BFSI, or large enterprise segments in the Malaysian market. 
• Established network with CISOs, IT Directors, or security procurement contacts in Malaysia banking, or enterprise organizations is strongly preferred. 
• Demonstrated experience in channel/partner ecosystem development including SI, MSSP, distributor, and technology alliance management. 
• Familiarity with managed security operations is an advantage, particularly the ability to engage in discussions on MDR workflows, SOC value propositions, and incident response with technical buyers. 
• Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia (required for enterprise engagement) and English. 
• Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills; comfortable working across time zones with a Vietnam-based team. 
• Self-directed with strong commercial instincts — able to qualify opportunities, navigate multi-stakeholder deals, and adapt proposals to local practices & realities. 
• Experience in introducing a new or foreign vendor brand into the Malaysian market (nice to have)
