A. Outpatient Pharmacy Service

• Performs prescription screening, charging, filling, counterchecking, and medication dispensing.
• Conducts patient medication and/or medication delivery device counselling as required.
• Participates in and supports all Value-Added Services offered through the Outpatient Pharmacy.

B. Inpatient Pharmacy Service / Ward Supplies

• Performs prescription screening, charging, filling, and counterchecking supplies to ward patients or floor stock.
• Assists in conducting periodic ward checks.

C. Stocks & Inventory

• Assists in ensuring adequate stock availability and monitoring of near-expiry and slow-moving items.
• Assists in stock takes (annual, cyclical, or ad-hoc as required).

D. Production / Manufacturing / Repacking

• Prepares extemporaneous/aseptic preparations and prepacking/repacking of products, subject to competency.

E. On-Call and Operational Coverage

• Participates in on-call duties and rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays, as required.

F. General Responsibilities

• Performs any other duties as assigned, including process improvement initiatives (e.g., Kaizen), audit preparation, and participation in departmental or hospital-level committees.

G. Additional Responsibilities (Senior Pharmacy Assistant)

• Guides and checks the work of Pharmacy Assistants, junior Pharmacy personnel, and locums.
• Ensures adherence to the Hospital’s and Pharmacy Department’s SOPs and policies and procedures (P&P).
• Provides guidance and training to junior Pharmacy personnel and supports continuous education programmes (CMEs).
• Assists Pharmacists in specialised functions such as cytotoxic drug reconstitution (CDR) and Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) preparation, where trained.
• Supervises departmental aides and oversees prepacking/repacking activities.
• Takes on a coordinating role during shifts and ensures smooth day-to-day operations.
• Ensures compliance of junior Pharmacy personnel with job requirements and departmental standards.

Pay: RM2,200.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
