C. Equipment &Skid Engineering
Develop and review process equipment and utility skid designs.
Coordinate mechanical, piping, structural, electrical, instrumentation and control interfaces.
Prepare equipment datasheets and technical specifications.
Evaluate equipment performance against process requirements.
Conduct technical bid evaluations for equipment, piping components, valves and instrumentation.
Review vendor drawings, calculations and technical submissions.
D. Instrumentation& Control Philosophy
Develop basic process control philosophies for utility systems.
Define process instrumentation requirements including flow, pressure, temperature and level measurement.
Establish operating, alarm and trip requirements.
Support development of:
Sequence of operation
Interlock philosophy
Cause-and-effect requirements
Fail-safe valve positions
BMS / SCADA / PLC interface requirements
Programming of PLC/BMS systems is not required; however, the Process Engineer is expected to define the process functional requirements.
E. Piping Engineering & Constructability
Review piping routing, layouts, isometrics and equipment arrangement.
Ensure piping systems are practical, maintainable and constructible.
Review piping materials and specifications for compatibility with process fluids and operating conditions.
Coordinate pipe supports, accessibility, maintenance clearances and installation requirements.
Provide engineering support during fabrication and site installation.
F. Tender &Proposal Engineering
Review RFPs, specifications, drawings and tender requirements.
Develop technical concepts and process solutions.
Identify technical risks, exclusions, assumptions and clarification requirements.
Prepare technical proposals and engineering submissions.
Raise RFIs and technical clarifications where project requirements are unclear.
Support cost estimation by developing equipment lists, utility requirements and material take-offs..
G. Project Engineering & Coordination
Coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors, subcontractors and internal project teams.
Participate in design reviews and technical meetings.
Manage engineering deliverables and design schedules.
Resolve technical and constructability issues during execution.
Support procurement, fabrication, installation and commissioning activities.
