Responsibilities
Company Description Nordin Technologies is an international manufacturer of quality equipment and machinery for HVAC systems, supplying insulated flexible ducting, air grilles and vents, and related fittings. As an established global exporter, the company serves numerous international markets and focuses on maintaining strong competitiveness through product reliability and innovation. Nordin Technologies emphasizes consistent manufacturing standards and responsive customer support to meet diverse project requirements. Applicants can expect to join a business that values technical excellence, operational efficiency, and long-term partnerships with industry clients.
Reporting To: General Manager
Direct Reports: Finance Analyst, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable
Purpose of Role
To lead and own the day-to-day finance function of the Nordin Technologies group, delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, reliable product costing and margin information, strong cash flow control, and sound internal controls across all entities. This role is intended to take full ownership of the numbers, protect cash and margin, give management and the board dependable information to decide on, and build a capable, accountable finance team to support the group's growth.
Financial Reporting & Control
Own the monthly close and the management accounts. Produce accurate profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow statements on the agreed timetable, with clear commentary for management. Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts, and ensure every figure can be traced to source. Run the close as a disciplined routine so reporting is on time, every month.
Costing & Margin Control
Own manufacturing product costing built on Bill of Materials (BOM) standard costs, and keep landed cost complete and current. Analyse cost variances between standard and actual, and report margin by product, brand and branch so the business sees where it makes and loses money. Work closely with Operations and Purchasing to keep costing accurate as materials, freight and exchange rates move, and to support pricing decisions with sound numbers.
Cash Flow & Treasury
Own cash flow forecasting and working capital. Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable and inventory to protect cash, and give management early sight of cash needs. Manage banking relationships and facilities, monitor foreign-exchange exposure across MYR, AUD and USD given the trade into Australia, and control payment runs against approved limits.
Controls, Compliance & Audit
Design and maintain strong internal controls, approval limits and segregation of duties to protect company assets. Lead the external audit, close findings promptly, and ensure statutory accounts are prepared and filed on time. Build a control-focused mindset across the finance team and the wider business.
Tax & Statutory
Ensure full compliance with Malaysian tax and statutory requirements, including corporate income tax, Sales and Service Tax (SST) and the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) e-invoicing rules. Support transfer-pricing documentation for related-party trade with the Australian side, liaise with tax agents, company secretary and auditors, and keep filing deadlines met without exception.
Systems & Process (SAP Business One)
Own the finance side of the SAP Business One (SAP B1) system - the group's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, the single source of live financial and operational data. Protect data integrity, standardise finance processes, and identify and implement automation and improvements that cut manual work and speed up reporting.
People Leadership & Development
Lead, coach and develop the accounts and costing team. Build a culture of ownership, accuracy and accountability, set clear standards and deadlines, mentor staff toward their professional goals, and develop bench strength and succession within the finance team.
Critical Success Factors
Ownership & Accuracy; Control Mindset; Commercial Business Partnering; Hands-On with Attention to Details; Deadline Discipline; Systems Fluency (SAP B1); Clear Communication to Non-Finance Colleagues.
What Success Looks Like After 12 Months
Established a reliable, fast monthly close on a firm timetable; trustworthy costing and margin numbers that Operations and Commercial act on; a clean external audit with controls strengthened; clear forward cash flow visibility; on-time tax and statutory filings; and a more capable, accountable finance team.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

· Reporting accuracy / number of restatements
· External audit findings and time to close them
· Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), Days Payable Outstanding (DPO) and inventory days
· Cash flow forecast accuracy
· Overdue debtors
· On-time statutory and tax filings
· Cost savings and process improvements delivered
Positioning Statement
We are not looking for someone to simply close the books each month. We are looking for a hands-on, results-oriented finance leader who takes full ownership of the numbers, protects cash and margin, and gives management reliable and timely information to decide on. The successful candidate must understand manufacturing costing and controls, partner with Operations and Commercial, strengthen the finance team, and deliver clean, accurate and on-time reporting with urgency.
This role requires a leader who is proactive rather than reactive, is comfortable in the detail as well as the boardroom, and can hold firm financial control across multiple brands and entities at once. The ability to spot risk early, drive accountability, and deliver consistent, dependable results will be critical to success.
