Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior M&E Engineer to lead, direct, and integrate all Mechanical and Electrical site activities from pre-construction through testing and final handover. Serving as the primary technical anchor on site, you will manage subcontractor performance, eliminate interdisciplinary design clashes, control variation costs, and drive authority approvals (such as BOMBA, TNB, and local councils).

Key Responsibilities

• Interdisciplinary Leadership: Direct M&E subcontractors and align MEP schedules with civil, structural, and architectural milestone plans.
• Design & Technical Review: Conduct rigorous reviews of consultant schematics, shop drawings, BWIC details, and material submissions to resolve site discrepancies prior to execution.
• Cost & Variation Management: Evaluate subcontractor variation orders (VOs), assess interim progress claims, and support procurement in evaluating M&E subcontract tender packages.
• Authority Approvals & Liaison: Lead submissions, site inspections, and liaison with statutory authorities (TNB, BOMBA, JKR, local councils) to secure timely power turning-on and Certificate of Completion and Compliance (CCC).
• Testing & Commissioning (T&C): Devise the T&C master program, oversee system balancing and integrated T&C, and compile clean handover documentation (as-built drawings and O&M manuals).
• QA/QC & HSE Compliance: Enforce site QA/QC inspection regimes, investigate non-conformance issues, and ensure strict compliance with local safety standards and HSE guidelines.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering.
• 5–8 years of progressive site engineering experience in major construction projects.
• Strong working knowledge of Malaysian statutory authority standards (BOMBA, TNB, ST, SPAN).
• Proven track record in managing M&E cost variations and technical subcontractor packages.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,500.00 per month
