Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and control project costs against approved budgets throughout the project lifecycle to ensure financial compliance.
Prepare and maintain detailed project budgets, cost reports, forecasts, and cost projections to support decision-making.
Track actual expenditures, commitments, subcontractor costs, procurement costs, and variations to maintain accurate financial records.
Analyze cost variances to identify potential cost overruns and risks, enabling proactive mitigation strategies.
Generate and deliver monthly cost reports providing timely and accurate cost information to Project Management.
Review subcontractor and supplier payment claims for compliance with contract terms, work progress, and supporting documentation.
Required competencies and certifications
Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in construction cost control.
Preferred competencies and qualifications
Experience in large-scale building construction projects.
Knowledge of construction cost management, budgeting, forecasting, and cost reporting.
Experience monitoring subcontractor costs, procurement costs, variations, and claims.
