Why we need this role
Our customers may contact us with questions, requests, appointment enquiries or updates relating to their projects.
The Customer Service Coordinator will help manage these conversations and make sure enquiries are followed up properly. You will also coordinate information between customers and the internal team so that requests are passed to the right people and handled in a timely manner.
This is a coordination-focused customer service position. Clear communication, good follow-through and attention to detail are important.
You will handle
Customer enquiries
- Respond to customer enquiries through the company's available communication channels.
- Understand customer requests and provide relevant information based on established procedures.
- Direct technical, design or project-specific questions to the appropriate team member.
- Follow up on enquiries that require additional information or action.
- Keep records of customer requests and follow-up status.
Appointments & coordination
- Assist with arranging customer consultations, meetings and appointments.
- Coordinate appointment details with the relevant internal team.
- Confirm schedules and communicate changes where necessary.
- Help keep appointment and customer information organised.
Project-related communication
- Support routine customer communication during the project process.
- Pass customer feedback, requests and updates to the relevant team.
- Follow up on outstanding responses and keep customers informed of progress.
- Assist with basic documentation and project-related administrative tasks.
After-sales support
- Handle routine follow-up enquiries after services have been delivered.
- Record customer feedback and escalate issues when necessary.
- Coordinate with internal teams on requests requiring further attention.
- Help maintain a professional and consistent customer experience.
What good looks like
A good Customer Service Coordinator does more than answer messages.
You should be someone who:
- Listens carefully before responding.
- Can explain information clearly and politely.
- Keeps track of conversations instead of allowing requests to be forgotten.
- Knows when an issue can be handled directly and when it should be escalated.
- Remains organised when several customers require follow-up at the same time.
- Communicates changes or delays promptly.
- Takes ownership of assigned follow-up tasks.
You don't need to know everything about interior design from the beginning. Product and project knowledge can be developed through training and experience.
Background
- Diploma or Degree in Customer Service, Business, Marketing, Communications, Hospitality or a related field is preferred.
- Around 1–2 years of experience in customer service, coordination, administration or a similar role.
- Experience in an interior design, renovation, property, retail or service environment will be an advantage.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Comfortable communicating with customers by phone, email or messaging platforms.
- Good organisational and follow-up skills.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace or similar tools.
- Able to work independently while coordinating closely with the wider team.
