Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Paperhanger to transform residential and commercial spaces. You will be responsible for the end-to-end installation of various wallcoverings on walls and ceilings, ensuring a flawless, seamless finish.

Responsibilities

• Remove old wallpaper, sand rough spots, and fill cracks or holes with plaster to prepare surfaces for new wallcoverings
• Calculate material requirements and mark vertical and horizontal guidelines to ensure precise alignment of wallpaper
• Apply adhesives correctly to secure wallcoverings and match patterns accurately across seams
• Use rollers or brushes to eliminate air bubbles and wrinkles for a smooth finish
• Install mural or patterned wallpaper on ceilings using ladders, scaffolds, and lasers to achieve precise placement
• Trim excess wallpaper at baseboards and ceiling lines using specialized knives for a clean edge
• Operate tools such as plumb bobs, laser levels, and seam rollers to ensure accurate installation

Required competencies and certifications

• Minimum 10 years of professional paperhanging experience
• Physical stamina to stand, kneel, and work overhead for extended periods

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience with ceiling wallpaper installation
