Job Summary
Conduct on-site inspections and manage electrical system installations through detailed shop drawings, schedule management, material coordination, and collaboration with QAQC teams to ensure project success from design to close-out.
Responsibilities
Conduct on-site inspections of electrical system installation work to ensure compliance with project specifications
Develop detailed electrical shop drawings and coordinate drawing submissions for approval
Guide site workers in construction execution based on approved drawings to maintain quality and accuracy
Establish and maintain professional construction schedules using project management software such as Microsoft Project or P6
Prepare Excel-based bar charts and maintain a 3-week rolling schedule for effective project tracking
Manage system point counts, source materials, conduct price inquiries and negotiations, and handle material submittals
Inspect and verify quantities, specifications, and receiving of materials upon delivery to ensure accuracy and quality
Participate in site and company meetings as required and prepare clear, concise meeting minutes
Support tendering activities including quantity take-offs, procurement inquiries, cost compilation, interview support, and site surveys
Coordinate with QAQC teams to support inspection and acceptance procedures throughout all project stages
Oversee project close-out activities by proactively tracking and completing all punch-list items, including outstanding issues from other disciplines
Preferred competencies and qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation & Control, or a related field (full-time study)
1–2 years of relevant experience in electrical or control systems with exposure to full project cycles including design, construction, commissioning, and settlement
Familiarity with electrical drawing development, construction management, system commissioning, and project settlement
Proficiency in AutoCAD and standard office software such as Word, Excel, Microsoft Project, and P6
Strong communication and coordination skills demonstrated through effective collaboration with site teams and stakeholders
Ability to solve on-site technical issues promptly to minimize project delays
Willingness to work on project sites and adapt to project-based schedules
