Role Description

We are seeking a full-time Investment Director role located on-site in WP. Kuala Lumpur. This role is responsible for originating, evaluating, and executing investment opportunities in small and mid-cap growth companies, including conducting detailed financial, commercial, and valuation analyses. The Investment Director will lead due diligence processes, coordinate external advisors, structure transactions, and present recommendations to the investment committee. Day-to-day tasks include managing portfolio companies, monitoring performance against value creation plans, and providing strategic guidance to management teams. The role also involves contributing to fund strategy, supporting capital-raising activities as needed, and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and market participants.


Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Investment Management and Investments skills, including deal execution and portfolio oversight.
  • Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills and expertise in Investment Strategies for growth and value creation.
  • Candidates should possess solid Finance knowledge, including financial modeling, valuation, and capital structuring.
  • Relevant experience in private equity, corporate finance, investment banking, or related fields, typically 7+ years in an investment-focused role.
  • Proven track record of leading transactions, managing stakeholders, and driving strategic initiatives at portfolio or investee companies.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline; professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CA) are an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Shariah-compliant investment principles and the Malaysian/regional market landscape is beneficial.
