About the role

AIW Logistics (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking an Operation Officer to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis in Bukit Mertajam, Penang. This role is pivotal to our operations, as you will oversee daily logistics and production activities, ensuring smooth workflow and optimal resource utilisation. The Operation Officer plays a critical strategic role in maintaining our operational excellence and supporting the company's growth objectives within the manufacturing, transport and logistics sector. You will work collaboratively with various departments to streamline processes, manage scheduling, and ensure compliance with operational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and coordinate daily production and logistics operations to ensure timely completion of tasks and deliverables

• Manage production planning and scheduling to optimise resource allocation and meet customer requirements

• Track inventory levels and maintain accurate records of stock movements and material handling

• Liaise between production, logistics and management teams to identify and resolve operational bottlenecks

• Prepare and analyse operational reports to identify trends, inefficiencies and areas for improvement

• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations across all operational areas

• Coordinate with suppliers and transport partners to maintain smooth supply chain operations

• Assist in the implementation of process improvements and efficiency initiatives

• Train and supervise operational staff on procedures and best practices

• Maintain accurate documentation of operational metrics and key performance indicators

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in operations management, production planning or logistics coordination within the manufacturing or logistics industry

• Strong knowledge of production scheduling, inventory management and supply chain operations

• Proficiency in using enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and Microsoft Office applications

• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and implement operational improvements

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams

• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation

• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations relevant to logistics and production operations

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, operations management or a related field

• Preferred experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and demand planning tools
