Accounts Executive (Construction)

Location: Old Klang Road, Kuala Lumpur

Job Responsibilities

• Review task completeness and provide guidance to junior team members on routine operational accounting activities before submission to the Finance Manager.
• Ensure accuracy of accounting entries and postings.
• Prepare and be responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing activities.
• Monitor and manage the project’s actual costs incurred against the approved project budget.
• Assist the Finance Manager in compiling the annual business plan and financial forecasts.
• Identify and recommend workflow and process improvements to enhance the overall effectiveness and efficiency of operations.
• Assist the Finance Manager in attending to internal audit queries and findings.
• Liaise and coordinate with external auditors to facilitate and complete annual audits.
• Liaise and coordinate with bankers on financing documentation and related matters.
• Liaise with the Tax Department on annual/periodical tax estimate revisions, annual tax computation finalisation, and periodical GST/SST return filing submissions.
• Perform any other assignments or duties as directed by the superior from time to time.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or an equivalent professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, etc.
• Candidates with a Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Accounting and at least 5 years of relevant working experience may also be considered.
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant working experience as an Accounts Executive, preferably within the construction industry.
• Good track record and practical experience in accounting operations.
• Familiar with MFRS 15 and MFRS 16.
• Well-versed in Microsoft Office applications.
• Hands-on experience with computerized accounting software, particularly *************, is an advantage.
• Exposure to annual budgeting and financial forecasting is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
• Able to work independently while also supporting and guiding junior team members.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,500.00 per month
