About the Role
Perencana Dingin Sdn Bhd is looking for an experienced Assistant Manager, MRO / Services to support and lead our MRO, maintenance, HVAC, and technical service operations.
This role is suitable for an experienced HVAC professional who combines strong technical knowledge with project management, leadership, client management, and cross-functional coordination skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading teams consisting of engineers and technicians, coordinating with different departments, managing project and service activities, and maintaining effective relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, senior management, and other stakeholders.
The role requires someone who is comfortable moving between technical operations, people management, project execution, client communication, and management-level reporting.

- Lead and coordinate engineers, technicians, and other technical personnel effectively.
- Ensure HVAC, MRO, maintenance, and service activities are delivered efficiently and according to project requirements.
- Maintain strong working relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
- Coordinate effectively across departments and ensure issues are followed through to resolution.
- Provide clear and timely updates, recommendations, and reports to senior management.
- Take ownership of projects and operational matters from planning through execution and completion.
- Develop a capable and collaborative team that consistently meets operational and project objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and coordinate teams comprising engineers, technicians, and other technical personnel.
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor HVAC, MRO, maintenance, and technical service activities.
- Manage projects from planning and execution through testing, commissioning, handover, and completion.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project and service teams.
- Monitor project progress, manpower, resources, schedules, costs, quality, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth execution of projects and service operations.
- Work closely with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and other external stakeholders.
- Attend and lead client meetings, site meetings, technical discussions, and other business engagements when required.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Communicate project status, operational matters, risks, issues, and recommendations to senior management.
- Identify and resolve technical, operational, coordination, and project-related issues.
- Oversee site activities, troubleshooting, testing & commissioning, maintenance, and service works.
- Coordinate manpower planning, resource allocation, subcontractors, and contractors.
- Ensure proper project documentation, reporting, and coordination are maintained.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Represent the company professionally when dealing with clients, business partners, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience, preferably in HVAC, MRO, maintenance, project management, or technical services.
- Strong technical knowledge and practical experience in HVAC systems.
- Proven experience in project management and team leadership.
- Experience managing teams across different levels, particularly engineers and technicians.
- Strong ability to work across departments and manage cross-functional collaboration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Confident in communicating with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, senior management, and company directors.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Experience in HVAC design, implementation, maintenance, troubleshooting, testing & commissioning, and service operations.
- Experience in site supervision, project scheduling, manpower planning, and contractor management.
- Background or experience in the railway industry is strongly preferred.
- Mandarin language proficiency, both written and spoken, is an added advantage.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant HVAC certifications or technical training are an added advantage.
- Familiarity with relevant engineering software, tools, and technical documentation.
Employment & Benefits
Salary: RM5,000 – RM7,000 per month
Negotiable based on experience, qualifications, and relevant HVAC, project management, leadership, and client management experience.
Contract: 1-year contract with potential for conversion to permanent employment based on performance and overall contribution.
