  • Conduct diagnostic assessments, class tests, writing assessments, and mock examinations to identify students' strengths and areas for improvement.

  • Provide clear, constructive, and detailed feedback on students' written and oral work.

  • Monitor individual student progress and adapt teaching strategies according to different learning needs and ability levels.

  • Provide one-on-one and small-group academic support where required.

  • Prepare appropriate lesson materials, worksheets, exercises, and revision resources.

  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessment results, and students' academic progress.

  • Communicate students' progress and areas for improvement to the academic team when required.

  • Maintain a positive, structured, and engaging classroom environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, English Literature, Education, Linguistics, or a related field.

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant English teaching experience preferred.

  • Able and confident to teach students across Primary 2 to Secondary 4 levels.

  • IELTS overall score of at least 7.0.

  • Strong command of written and spoken English.

  • Strong knowledge of English grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing techniques.

  • Ability to explain language concepts clearly to students of different ages and proficiency levels.

  • Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Able to identify students' learning gaps and provide targeted academic support.

  • Passionate about teaching and committed to students' academic development.

Preferred Qualities

  • Experience teaching English within the Singapore primary and secondary school context.

  • Experience preparing students for PSLE, SEC/O-Level, IGCSE, or equivalent English examinations is an advantage.

  • Experience teaching both younger learners and secondary-level students.

  • Familiarity with Cambridge English or international-school English programmes is an advantage.

  • Bilingual proficiency is preferred.

  • Patient, responsible, organised, and able to build positive relationships with students.
