Responsibilities
JOB DESCRIPTION
Duties & Responsibilities – WSH Coordinator
· Support and coordinate workplace safety and health (WSH) and environmental activities in accordance with applicable legislation, regulations, and approved codes of practice.
· Assist in ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, company safety rules, project specifications, and safe work procedures by all personnel.
· Provide day-to-day coordination, coaching, and guidance to the workforce on workplace safety, health, and environmental practices.
· Support the implementation and monitoring of the project-specific HSE Management System and programs in alignment with corporate procedures.
· Assist the project team in supporting company and project initiatives to achieve HSE-related awards, certifications, and performance targets.
· Conduct routine site safety inspections, audits, and compliance checks, and follow up on corrective actions.
· Identify gaps or deficiencies in WSH and environmental practices, procedures, and site conditions, and recommend practical improvement measures to the WSHO/Project Team.
· Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Site Safety Program.
· Support the review and collation of WSH Management System (WSHMS) and environmental reports for submission.
· Coordinate and assist in conducting toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and HSE training sessions for workers and subcontractors.
· Liaise closely with the project team, supervisors, and subcontractors to promote and maintain a high standard of safety, health, and environmental performance.
· Assist in liaising with relevant authorities, consultants, and external parties on WSH and environmental matters, when required.
· Provide timely feedback and recommendations to the Project Manager/WSHO on site WSH issues, observations, and improvement opportunities.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date site WSH and environmental records, registers, and documentation, ensuring timely submission where required.
· Assist in the review and implementation of internal and external risk assessments and risk management measures.
· Support incident and near-miss investigations, including data collection, root cause analysis, and follow-up on corrective and preventive actions.
· Coordinate checks to ensure Permit-to-Work (PTW) applications and supporting documents are valid, approved, and properly implemented on-site.
· Assist in the preparation and coordination of the Site Environmental Control Program prior to commencement of works.
· Support the organization and coordination of emergency preparedness activities, including tabletop exercises, emergency response drills, and checks on emergency equipment readiness.
· Assist in compiling and presenting basic data, statistics, and trend analysis on WSH performance, site conditions, and unsafe acts/conditions.
· Carry out any other ad hoc WSH-related duties as assigned by management or the Project Team.
This position open for Singaporean & SPR only
Monthly Salary Range (SGD): S$2,600 - S$3,500
Preferably with PUB/SP/LTA working background
