About Revolver Asia
Revolver Asia is an independent hospitality and lifestyle consultancy working across strategy, communications and experiences.
Founded in Singapore in 2011 by entrepreneur Michel Lu, Revolver brings together decades of hands-on experience building, operating and advising hospitality and lifestyle businesses across Asia and internationally.
We combine the strategic perspective of a consultancy with the creativity, relationships and execution of an agency — helping hospitality and lifestyle businesses sharpen their positioning, tell better stories, build meaningful relationships and create experiences people remember.
Revolver is now entering a new chapter.
The world of work is changing rapidly, and we believe the traditional agency model is changing with it. We are major adopters of technology and AI, and are building Revolver around a deliberately lean, technology-enabled model that allows exceptional people to spend less time on administration and more time thinking, creating, building relationships and making things happen.
The Role
We are looking for a Communications & Experiences Lead to work directly alongside Revolver's founder and take day-to-day ownership of our communications and experiential work.
This is not a conventional PR role — and Revolver is not being rebuilt as a conventional agency. You will initially be Revolver's sole full-time human team member. But you won't be working alone. You will work alongside the founder as both collaborator and mentor, supported by a growing group of AI and agentic colleagues, specialist freelancers, creatives, producers and technology designed to extend what a small, highly capable team can accomplish.
We believe one exceptional, driven person — given autonomy, good judgement, powerful tools and direct access to experienced mentorship — can produce extraordinary work.
There is no office and no traditional agency hierarchy. We work remotely, coming together with clients, media, partners and each other whenever the work requires it.
A Focused Portfolio
You won't be starting with an empty client list.
Revolver already works with a small portfolio of in-house hospitality and drinks brands, providing an immediate platform for communications, events, collaborations and creative work. Our ambition for the external business is deliberately modest: two or three carefully selected external accounts.
We are not interested in accumulating clients for the sake of scale. We want a diverse enough portfolio to create interesting work, build strong media and industry relationships and keep Revolver culturally relevant — while remaining close enough to every client to make a meaningful difference. This could include restaurants, bars, hotels, hospitality groups, drinks brands and selected lifestyle businesses.
What You'll Do
You will have significant autonomy across a varied portfolio. Your responsibilities will include:
Who We're Looking For
We're less concerned with titles or years served than with what you've actually done.
You will probably have experience across some combination of PR, communications, events, experiential marketing, hospitality and lifestyle.
You should have strong communications instincts, excellent writing and editorial judgement, and ideally existing relationships across Singapore's media and hospitality communities.
You must also have genuine hands-on events experience. We mean more than invitations and guest lists: concepts, budgets, venues, suppliers, partners, logistics, production and being there when everything comes together.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is:
Driven. Independent. Curious. Resourceful. Organised.
You need to be comfortable working remotely and managing your own time. Nobody will be sitting beside you allocating tasks or reminding you to follow up.
You should naturally see what needs doing and do it.
You should also be genuinely interested in technology and excited by the potential of AI and agentic systems to change how creative and professional work gets done. You don't need to be a technologist — but you do need to be curious, adaptable and willing to learn new ways of working.
You should be equally comfortable meeting an editor, presenting to a client, writing a pitch, developing an event concept, negotiating with a supplier and being on-site making sure an experience works.
Why Revolver
This isn't a role for someone looking for the structure of a traditional agency.
It's an opportunity for someone who wants ownership.
You'll work directly with a founder with more than three decades of experience building hospitality and lifestyle businesses, with the opportunity for genuine mentorship rather than layers of management.
You'll have established brands to work with from day one, the freedom to create, access to increasingly sophisticated technology and agentic support, and the opportunity to help choose the external clients we work with.
We want to discover how much exceptional work a very small, highly capable, technology-enabled team can produce.
We are not trying to build a large agency. We are trying to build a remarkable one.
Compensation
S$6,000 per month, with the opportunity for performance-based upside as Revolver's external client portfolio develops.
