POSITION SUMMARY
The Learning and Growth Lead will work with the Senior Manager – Group Talent Development to drive talent growth across the Valiram Group by maximizing HRDC fund utilization, strengthening partnerships with approved training vendors, and developing high-impact learning programs in collaboration with brand leaders. This role oversees the execution of training initiatives that align with business goals, ensuring a consistent, cohesive approach to employee development.
A focus on expanding the learning and development programs regionally and globally, fostering brand expertise and continuity in learning. By establishing a standardized internal training SOP, the Lead enhances program and impact, while support in driving metrics to optimize HRDC resources and program effectiveness. This position plays a crucial role in advancing Valiram University’s mission to elevate team capabilities and achieve business objectives.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Human Resources Development Corporation (HRDC) Funds Management:
- Fund Utilization: Maximize HRDC funding for learning and development initiatives, ensuring thorough approval, and end-to-end process completion with clear documentation.
- Vendor Partnerships: Ensure HRDC funding utilization with approved vendors.
Training Programs Execution:
- Training Execution: Plan and execute training programs, including onboarding, retail programs, leadership development, and other skill-building programs. Manage collaboration with business and brand leaders for high impact training and support the future development of important training programs. Lead training program initiative, expanding reach across regions and ensuring continuity and consistency in learning.
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Impact Assessment: Understand the analysis of program impact, support in identifying trends and insights to guide continuous improvement.
- Reporting and Communication: Understand the reports on project outcomes, program effectiveness, and improvement areas. Support the communication and documentation of training program, policies, and initiatives across the organization.
Partnership with Internal Brand Partners
- Business Alignment: Establish strong partnerships with stakeholders to stay aligned with current business issues and opportunities related to learning and development. Support in aligning and implementing learning and development initiatives across the organization to support business goals and objectives.
- Program Delivery and Communication: Collaborate with stakeholders to execute cross-functional projects aimed at driving employee growth and development.
Project Management and Execution:
- Project: Lead, support, execute, and oversee the end-to-end process of talent development projects, from planning through execution, ensuring completion on time, within scope, and on budget. Ensure clear communication and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including HR teams, department heads, and vendors, to gather requirements, secure resources, and facilitate project execution.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology or similar discipline.
- At least 5 year’s professional experience in retail operations, learning & development with proven track record of program impact.
- Knowledge and experience in delivering training to leaders from store managers to C-Suite executives.
- Proven management skills leading, motivating, managing assigned team members to effectively define and deliver goals and objectives.
- Passionate and curious about human behaviour and culture.
- Experience with Instructional design and learning methodology.
- Strong verbal and written English (essential), Bahasa (preferred) and Mandarin/Cantonese (preferred).
- Must be able to work with all levels of personnel both within and outside of organization.
- A confident communicator capable of inspiring collaboration and excitement around the topic in the stores.
- High degree of professionalism in communication, positive attitude, and teamwork with customers, peers, and differing levels of management.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and ensure top value and performance for peers and organization alike.
- Creative, analytical, and thoughtful – comfortable testing new ideas and working with the intent to drive positive change.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Occasional travel (domestic and international) may be required to support talent and development initiatives at various locations.
